US General Predicts Iran Nuclear Weapons 'Within Five Years'On 21 October, Marine General Anthony Zinni, Head of US Central Command, told reporters in Washington of his fears that Iran was only a few years away from becoming a nuclear-weapon State. According to the General: "If I were a betting man, I would say they are on track within five years, they would have the capability [by then]..." Referring to India and Pakistan, Zinni added that Iran "is not going to be that far behind their neighbours. They are on track to do it."
